On The Neon Beat this week, Jukebox 2: Perry Como kicks off the hour with one of his stabs at picking up the new up & coming beat of the day..rock n' roll. Perry's 1955 hit called "Tina Marie." Peggy Lee follows with her signature 1958 chart buster, "Fever." Hear the great New Orleans trumpet of Al Hirt playing "Cotton Candy." Vic Damone sings a song from the Broadway play, "Pal Joey." Make way for the "Chattanooga Choo Choo" with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Hear Tony Bennett & Count Basie perform a song about that "toddlin' town." On The Neon Beat this week Juke 3: We open this hour with a little salsa version of "Sway" with Prez Prado and Rosemary Clooney. Then we enjoy a Broadway selection with the Four Lads, "Together Wherever We Go."
