Neon Beat on Radio George - 9.4.12

This week on The Neon Beat on Jukebox 1: Frank Sintara opens with a sing-a-long tune, "When Your Smiling." The Lettermen follow up with the 1950's hit, "Shangri La." Hear a bouncy Broadway tune sung by Dionne Warwick, "Promises Promises." Al Martino sings his lovely hit song, "Mary In the Morning." And "It's Now Or Never" with Elvis. Hear a beautiful hit song, sung entirely in French, by Robert Goulet..."Autumn Leaves." (Understand it or not, the flute gives it away.) And "Get Your Kicks On Route 66" with Nat King Cole. Lots more..right cheer!
This week on The Neon Beat, Juke 2: Tony Bennett opens this hour with the Count Basie Orchestra singing a song bout that "Toddlin' Town." The Ames Bros follow up with a peppy version of "Slow Boat To China." Hear Nat King cole with a Fats Waller hit, "Ain't Misbehaving." Hear one of Bobby Darin's top hits, "Dream Lover." Listen then to the beckoning voice of Julie London singing "Black Coffee." Hear Frank & Nancy Sinatra with "Somethin' Stupid." Dean Martin, Jo Stafford, Andy Williams, Doris Day and more.

This week on the Neon Beat, Jukebox 3: We open with a great "atttitude" song by Peggy Lee. A little march called "Pass Me By." Tony Bennett follows with his hit, "Firefly." Hear a couple of songs with that Mancini magic. "The Pink Panther Theme" and the melodic "Theme From The Thornbirds" Matt Monro sings a lovely version of "Ebb Tide."
