Neon Beat on Radio George - 7.2.12

On the Neon Beat this week, Jukebox 1: We open with a sultry number by Bette Midler, "Do You Want To Dance." Frank Sinatra follows this with a great Harold Arlen song. Marilyn Maye pays tribute to Peggy Lee and a few folks in the room with, "I Love Being Here With You." Dean Martin sings, "Lay Some Happiness On Me." Also hear Bobby Darin's 1959 smash hit, "Mack The Knife." Tony Bennett, Barbra Streisand, Sam Cooke, The Mills Bros and more.

On The Neon Beat this week, Juke 2: A sock hop hit by Perry Como kicks of this hour. "Jukebox Baby." Then sing along with Andy Williams with "That Old Bilbao Song." Enjoy an uptempo treatment of "Undecided" by the Ames Brothers, followed by Ed Ames' lovely song, "My Cup Runneth Over." Hear Sinatra with "Anything Goes" and "Mona Lisa" by Nat Cole. And introducing "Jerry Costanzo" with "Can I Steal A Little Love." (a fun rat packish number ala Buddy Greco) Bing Crosby, Petula Clark, Tommy Dorsey and more.

On The Neon Beat this week, Jukebox 3: Get ready to cut-a-rug with our opener by Barry Manilow, "Bandstand Boogie." Followed by a salza treatment of "Lemon Tree" by Trini Lopez. Hear The Chordettes with "Never On Sunday." Elvis's "Good Luck Charm." Hoagy Charmichael's "Stardust." Hear Dean Martin, Kay Starr, Jim Reeves, Bobby Vinton. Glen Campbell with "Gentle On My Mind." and so much more.
