The Neon Beat on Radio George - 5.11.15

On the Neon Beat this week, Jukebox 1: Frank Sinatra launches this week’s set as we go “Swinging down the Lane.” Peggy Lee takes the stage next struttin’ her stuff with, “I Am a Woman.” We’ll hear one of the many hit recordings by the Polish Prince. Mr. Bobby Vinton sings “Blue on Blue.” Nat King Cole performs a great Bert Kaempfert song called, “LOVE.” We’ll spin some film music sung by Oklahoman Patti Page from “Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte.” Glen Campbell performs one of his latter 1960’s hits with that great Al DeLory arrangement of “Galveston.” Hear some great Dixieland with Al Hirt, instrumentals with Bill Doggett, Henry Mancini and David Rose.
