The Neon Beat on Radio George - 5.4.15

Enjoy a great hit single by the Platters, “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes.” Andy Williams sings a song “you can’t refuse” from The Godfather. New Orleans trumpet player, Al Hirt puts a little honey in the horn with his hit version of “Java.” Tony Bennett sings a song from “Gypsy.” Turn up Dean Martin as he’ll “Lay A Little Happiness” on ya. On the Neon Beat this week, Jukebox 3: Bobby Goldsboro opens this hour with one of his most beloved hits, (written my Mac Davis) “Watching Scotty Grow.” Dionne Warwick takes the mic next with some bouncy Broadway, “Promises Promises.” We’ll remember a little Martin Scorsese film magic as Frank Sinatra sings “New York, New York.” Then when those marimba rhythms start to play, dance with Dino, and “Sway.” (watch out for them stage lights) Listen to Actress Judy Garland as she performs “Embraceable You.” Enjoy a great romping performance of Barbra Streisand singing, “Don’t Rain on My Parade” from Funny Girl.
