On the Neon Beat Show 105R6: The Fontane Sisters begin this hour's offerings with one of their 1950's hit singles, “Hearts of Stone”. Next we enjoy an old goodie with Frank Sinatra singing with the kids with the Oscar winning song “High Hopes” heard in the 1959 film, “A Hole in the Head”. Then enjoy another movie favorite from “South Pacific” sung by Jo Stafford. Hear more film and stage music with Fred Astaire from “Top Hat”, Barbra Streisand with a song from “House of Flowers” composed by Harold Arlen and Truman Capote. And Ella Fitzgerald sings a lively Cole Porter number from “Kiss Me Kate”. We'll spin some great big band with Harry James doing “The Mole” and Glen Gray's Casa Loma Orchestra playing another Cole Porter standard. Nat King Cole performs a fine Duke Ellington favorite, “Don't Get Around Much Anymore”. We'll team up Bing Crosby with good friend Louis Armstrong as we find they've “Gone Fishing”. Then listen to Dean Martin with “Somewhere There's A Someone.” Turn up Doris Day as she sings the song, “Again”, Roger Whittaker with “All of My Life”, and The Lettermen with “Shangri La”. Catch a great early television theme with Valjean doing “The Theme from Ben Casey”. More with Elvis and the Ames Brothers with the Les Brown Orchestra
